Welcome to the Video Era
This Is One of My Favorite Videos on the Internet … The true power of the internet.
In all of the testing I have done lately it seems that Google really likes video. In fact, videos are more likely to get ranked in the top of search engine pages. If we take our video to another level and optimize it they can rank in hours at the top of Google. Why is video so much better than written content? Let’s think about our parents and grandparents, for generations the human race has been programmed to watch the idiot box. We are creatures of habit! That’s why you would put video on the Internet in your business web pages; it gets far more attention from search engines and people. The same old human training that is genetically embedded by now kicks in and we begin to watch those Internet marketing videos just like our television.
In a recent survey that polled Canadian people it was learned that for the first time in history people spend more time on the Internet than watching TV each week. It should be no surprise to all of us … videos on the Internet out perform written content by a long shot. It’s just so much easier to take in.
To me, this video illustrates how the Internet can be used by bringing the world together.
Reaching out for video technology to display on your website is not as difficult as most people think. There are programs such as Camtasia (Free trial) that make producing your own videos very easy. In many cases we tested, making your own instructional videos that help support your product line increased conversion up to 50%. If that doesn’t cut it for you and you have budget, why not outsource your video production?
