Step 2- Configure Goal

1) Make sure the goal is turned on.

2) You can choose from Exact Match, Regular Expression Match or head match. For most of the goals I use head match.

3) Enter the goal finish line URI.

4) Name your goal. I like to date it as well.

5) Will exactly match the url string including caps.

6) Add a value to your goal. Try to be realistic. There are methods you can use to calculate goal value. If you don’t know the goal value make a guess. I usually put $50 as a default value.

7) Enter the URIs (Uniform Resource Identifier) for all steps to goal.

8) Name all steps to goal. They will be present in the goal funnel visualization.

9) Required step means users that made it to the goal finish line will not be counted if they do not move through the funnel.
