Introduction
Let me introduce you to the first and only website offering a free comprehensive view of the current Google Analytics interface. This is a no holes barred, up close study of the interface that you use. It is how you control the data you see along with the reports you can generate. Assuming your set up has been performed with competence, reports are all you have now. Google Analytics is a sophisticated analysis tool that will have some people in “Awe” when they jump into their control panel for the first time. Where do you go from here?
Learn to Use the Power
In this free Google Analytics tutorial you will become more familiar with the architecture of the software. The information is not primarily focused on the in’s and out’s of deliberation, analysis techniques or KPI (key performance Indicator) Strategy. It is designed to show you the tools, using them is a completely different topic. You would not hand a stranger a Snap-On tool chest and ask him to build a Nascar Engine, would you? We all share the common journey of learning that is part of our character. With each student of study your learning curve is the only limitation. Some will take information in quickly, whiles others adsorb information slowly but more thoroughly. GALearning's method of self empowerment does not push you through the gates, rather allows you to take it in at your own speed. You can learn how to use Google Analytics anywhere you like and still navigate through our wireframe as a visual reference and interface briefing.
Learning About Behavior of Visitors
That’s why you want to analyze your traffic…its all about visitor interaction with your website. Using this software, installation of the code is usually the easy part; the real craft is how you leverage the data to your advantage. My recommended preferred recipe is;
- Learn basic predictive and actionable analytics.
- Learn the tools you will need to provide actionable insights.
- Learn how to Examine data trends most related to website goals (KPI focus).
- Find out how to provide consistent data driven decisions that “up” your spark lines (targeted traffic).
If these steps aren’t taken you may struggle analyzing your online presence and visitor behaviors effectively. Find out where your visitors come from, what they do, where (why) they leave, and what you can do to improve your situation. With this enterprise-class web analytics package you get from the kind folks at Google, enhancing your online and offline marketing initiatives is a fun science. Improving your landing page design is a mathematical message communicated to your design team that just makes sense. Improving the sales through your ecommerce software is accomplished with a goal funnel. Where do people enter your sales process? What keywords do they use? Where do they abandon your goal funnel?
Finding out how visitors truly interact with your web properties can instantly result in a higher return for your business. At the same time you may learn that your efforts where not what you expected. It's all good, web analytics reports should tell you why---become the wiser on the next one. If you don’t have a Google Analytics account it's time to create one for free.
