Online Business Marketing

Marketing on the Internet can be fun, time consuming, affective, not effective, a complete waste of time and/or very profitable. It really depends what you want to do and how you decide to do it. There are countless ways to promote ideas online.

I personally feel that more business needs to reach out to the world of relationship building. That is, building a lifetime relationship with clients. Based on that belief and philosophy I am going to outline the particular areas in the Internet marketing that I believe are most important to a real estate professional.

Email Marketing

Email Marketing

In my experience email marketing has the highest conversion of all traffic sources. This rule applies to opt in’s only—buying lists from unknown sources is not recommended.

A simple lead form with a tantalizing offer is all that is needed to build a good list.

When sending out your e-blast, one of the first steps you want to take is to define your target audience and identify the goals of your campaign. Then you want to analyze the pages on your website you anticipate (or know) they will land on.

How often are you going to send your marketing messages out and what about email template design? Now you want to consider your content strategy and design a few nice email templates.

You’ll also want to consider the budget you have for e-mail marketing and determine what is doable with your budget. All of your e-mail marketing efforts can be monitored using Google Analytics. This helps answer what a visitor does after they land on your website from an email link. How well do they convert through your goal funnel or what are the most abandon pages?

I think your write up was actually a great kick off to a potential series of blog posts about this topic. A lot of people pretend to comprehend what they are preaching about when it comes to this area and most of the time, hardly anyone actually get it. You seem to really dominate it though, so I think you need to take it and run. Thank you!
