Google Analytics & PageRank Case StudyThis week Google did a PageRank update. It is interesting the trend I see in Analytics. Let me give you an example. I created a website about a month ago, galearning.com. The site is less then 1 month old. On one of my deep pages I received a pagerank 5 this week, while the homepage was promoted to PageRank 3. For those of you that don’t follow PageRank, it is Google’s measurement of importance on a scale of one to ten with every website online. In the past, higher PageRank usually flows to top level pages. Why did my brand new website receive all that PageRank juice to pages that are 2 directories deep? I just launched the site June 7.09. This is where Google Analytics sheds light on the situation.
