Google Quality Filters and Result Pages
The newer algorithms that Google is using are incredible for users and a challenge for natural SE placement. There are many technologies combined that determine a website’s ranking in organic search engine indices. I am talking from the perspective of a researcher and not a SEO guru. Here’s are the steps I believe Google takes to sort out who’s who in their index.
- Gbot discovers almost all websites- with or without incoming links.
- Google Filters the data using numerous methods. E.g. possibly LSI, keyword density, incoming & internal link analysis, etc
- Documents are pre-scored by algorithms and humans (seed pages)
- Pre-Scored documents with “at or above quality score” are indexed in Google’s main index. Documents that are under benchmarked quality score are a part of the invisible supplemental index.
- Documents in the main index are served in result pages combining the above 4 steps and data collected from other sources. E.g. personal search votes, Google Analytics Data (bounce). Other web buzz indicators like social networks are also factored in.
In recent research projects we have conducted we are seeing indisputable evidence that points to a number 1 ranking indicator. How to you make people flock to your site and remain engaged? We have tested countless situations where people were driven to a website through a social network like Twitter. All it took was one influential person mentioning your idea and natural ranking floodgates opened within days (sometimes hours).
Is SEO on its Way Out?
I like to think of search engine optimization as transforming into an art of marketing online. The deeper you can dig the more logical and intelligent your website is to its targeted visitors. Other, more critical elements such as a good site architecture with website blueprint engineering will give you the piece of mind for a solid website foundation.
The Basics to SEM
Let’s keep it really simple…RESEARCH.
There are over seven hundred million queries each day (WikiPedia 2009) that Google provides. A lot of the data that is logged by Google AdWords users and other sources is available for use with other research tools. With the right tools, marketing technician and properly structured website you can get a good natural ranking in a very short time that lasts. Of course that’s not all we need to do!! Research and content decision making tools can actually guide you into the most suitable blue print for your business model. Along with a “rock solid” professional website blueprint & marketing plan of attack is made. Your must be complete and well rounded.
Organic Search Engine Marketing
There are many theories put on SEO tables now such as prescribed keyword densities, LSI co-occurrence matrix and structured websites. Attaining top 10 ranking in natural search engine indices is worth its weight in gold. The theories above that I list I have been studying and subscribe to them. I also was reading an article from Bruce Clay that also is valued insights into getting a good ranking in search engines. Search engine placement rarely occurs by fluke. Most of the spammy and duplicate content pages have been cleaned up by spam filters that Matt Cutts is good at designing.
A diligently planned and driven strategy will ultimately be a deciding factor in search engine positioning. Sit Down and relax, take your time making website planning choices. The choices you make, become etched in cyberspace left to the interpretation of automated bots. Google bot (Google’s site crawling bot), Slurp (Yahoo’s site crawling bot) and many other bots visit your site and gather information. Site structure and over-all context of your pages are the basis of how Google analyzes site data. For natural search engine promotion, the more you can plan, deploy and analyze, the better your ability to attain a good market position.
This is just a quick opinion on my take with search engines today.
We are now in an age where an online marketing strategy is an absolute must. Marketing Strategies are your guide. Without them it is very similar to driving your car on a long trip with no road map.

This is good in terms of seo. Nada appears to bother on it compared to that.Ironically, this is just what was warned about some years prior at the blackhat about google some number of years ago in ’95.
